Kerry Mark

Dr. Kerry Mark D'Costa is a highly qualified dentist specializing in Periodontics, holding board certification in the field and being a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He began his educational journey with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Honours Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Dr. D'Costa then pursued his dental education, attending the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University and the Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam.

He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and Master of Science (MSc) degree in Periodontology from the University of Toronto. During his three-year residency, Dr. D'Costa gained extensive surgical experience in various periodontal procedures, including flap surgery, soft tissue and bone grafting, site development, ridge augmentation, and implant surgery. Additionally, he is trained in IV moderate conscious sedation.

Dr. D'Costa has conducted research focused on the systemic effects of periodontal disease, specifically exploring the association between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease. His research findings have been published. Throughout his dental career, he has worked in several dental offices in the Greater Toronto Area, specializing in periodontal care. He has also provided dental services to Native reserves in Northern Ontario and Eastern Ontario.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. D'Costa has served as a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, skating, skiing, and spending quality time with his family and friends. Dr. D'Costa's passion for dentistry and commitment to ongoing education and research make him a highly skilled and dedicated dental specialist in Periodontics.
